Hi, I’m Gen.

My counselling style is thoughtful and gentle, approaching each person and their story with care, respect, and genuine interest. I value taking the time to understand your unique context so I can offer support that feels reflective, paced, and meaningful. My role is not to rush or fix, but to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s complexities.

I have a particular interest in working with women and individuals exploring ADHD, AuDHD, and OCD related experiences. While I do not diagnose, I am committed to supporting clients in their search for understanding, clarity, and calm, and in advocating for themselves as they seek answers that feel right for them. Values work plays an important role in my counselling approach. I see values as an anchor in choppy waters and a way to find direction when things feel uncertain.

My path into counselling has been shaped by a range of experiences. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music with honours in Music Education at Western University, where I learned the importance of balance between discipline and creativity, structure and flexibility. After briefly teaching, I realized my desire for deeper, more relational work. While completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University, I volunteered with mental health support lines and worked in community-facing roles, experiences that continue to inform how I show up with people.

Outside of my work, I stay grounded through time in nature, home life, and creative pursuits. I am proud of my journey and the growth it has required, and I see counselling as an ongoing process of learning, humility, and positive change for both clients and myself.
